Sub-programs
CanadaGAP Food Safety for Fresh Fruit and Vegetable
We are the only internationally recognized accreditation body in Canada offering the CanadaGAP Food Safety for Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Sub-program, which is based on the CanadaGAP Program Management Manual. As a pre-requisite, certification bodies must also be accredited to and ISO/IEC 17065, the international standard for providing product, process and services certification.
Organizations involved in food production, packing, storage, repacking, brokerage and wholesaling seeking certification often turn to SCC-accredited certification bodies for third-party oversight. Reasons include procurement eligibility requirements, regulatory compliance and competitive differentiation.
We are signatories to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) for ISO/IEC 17065. This means that certification by SCC-accredited certification bodies in this program is widely accepted internationally.
