Background

As part of a regular review, SCC updated its Accreditation Program Overview. This document’s primary purpose is to outline how accreditation programs are organized and how they operate.

  • The Management Systems Accreditation Program aerospace and business continuity schemes, and related requirements were added on page 35.
  • IAF MD 4: 2022 – IAF Mandatory Document for the Use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for Auditing/Assessment Purposes was added to the list of Product, Process, and Service Certification Body Accreditation Program requirements on page 40 and to the list of Certification Body Operating in Certification of Persons Accreditation Program requirements on page 44.
  • A clarification about the applicability of Requirements and Guidance – Inspection Body Accreditation Program was added on page 56. These requirements do not apply to the Independent Safety Assessor for Railway Systems Accreditation Program customers as the Requirements and Guidance – Independent Safety Assessor for Railway Systems Accreditation program applies in this case.
