Certification of Persons
We are the only internationally recognized accreditation body in Canada offering the Certification of Persons Accreditation Program, which is based on ISO/IEC 17024, the international standard for personnel certification.
Organizations that certify personnel in areas including safety professionals, financial planners, and environmental auditors and verifiers often turn to SCC for third-party oversight. Reasons include procurement eligibility requirements, regulatory compliance and competitive differentiation.
We are signatories to the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA) for this program. This means that certification by SCC-accredited certification bodies is widely accepted internationally. Additionally, to uphold our signatory status, we undergo peer evaluations by the Asia Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (APAC), further enhancing trust.
This SCC accreditation signals that an organization is qualified to certify personnel, ensuring that standards are applied correctly and consistently. We create a foundation of trust by ‘checking the checkers’ and making sure certification bodies meet the requirements of national and international standards.
