Reference Material Producers
We are the only accreditation body in Canada offering the Reference Material Producers Accreditation Program, which is based on ISO 17034, the international standard that covers the production of reference materials, including certified reference materials.
This SCC accreditation offers third-party assurance of the quality of reference materials, benefitting users of certified reference materials or reference materials across industries. Laboratories engaged in testing fields such as environmental, energy, food, pharmaceuticals and product quality assurance rely on these materials for accurate and reliable results.
Accredited reference material producers cover a wide range of materials critical for measurable properties, establishing metrological traceability. With precision and accuracy at their core, reference materials are meticulously developed to specific standards, ensuring suitability for their intended applications.
This SCC accreditation signals that an organization is qualified, ensuring that standards are applied correctly and consistently. We create a foundation of trust by ‘checking the checkers’ and making sure reference material producers meet the requirements of national and international standards.
