Magnesium and magnesium alloys — Determination of silicon — Spectrophotometric method with the reduced silicomolybdic complex

The method is applicable to alloys having silicon contents between 0,01 and 0,6 %. The method does not apply to alloys containing rare earths or thorium. Specifies principle and procedure of the method, the reagents, apparatus, sampling, expression of results and test report.
