This standard applies to denatured fuel ethanol, a blending component that is used solely as a component of automotive spark-ignition fuels. These automotive spark-ignition fuels include: CAN/CGSB-3.511 — Oxygenated automotive gasoline containing ethanol (E1-E10 and E11-E15), and CAN/CGSB-3.512 — Automotive ethanol fuel (E50-E85 and E20-E25). The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
