Scope of the Certification The scope of the company's certification is defined depending on its activities. Following the initial audit, the scope is confirmed by the auditor and listed on the certificate. The activities that may be included in the scope are: timber harvesting, forest road construction, forest camp management and non-commercial silvicultural work (including the type of work performed in the latter case). When a company wishes to add new activities to the scope of the certification, it shall make a written request to the BNQ. The BNQ will examine the request and inform the company of the applicable terms in order to proceed. NOTE-- The BNQ reserves the right to conduct an additional on-site audit to verify the compliance of the activities concerned. When a company provides notification to the BNQ that certain activities included in the scope pf the certificate no longer apply, the BNQ will issue a modified certificate.
