This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to International Standard ISO/IEC 18004:2000. 1 Scope This International Standard specifies the requirements for the symbology known as QR Code. It specifies the QR Code Model 2 symbology characteristics, data character encodation, symbol formats, dimensional characteristics, error correction rules, reference decoding algorithm, production quality requirements, and user-selectable application parameters, and defines in an annex the features of Model 1 symbols which differ from Model 2.
