This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard CEI/IEC 598-2-3: 1993 (second edition, 1993-04), including Amendment 1:1997, and 2:2000. Note - Amendment No. 2 reaffirmed 2007-03-28. Scope This Standard specifies requirements for luminaires for road and street lighting for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent, and other discharge lamps designed to be installed on branch circuits not exceeding 600 V nominal or less between conductors in accordance with the rules of CSA Standard C22.1-02, Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. It is to be read in conjunction with those clauses of CSA Standard CAN/CSA-E60598-1 to which reference is made.
