Luminaires - Part 2-5: Particular Requirements - Floodlights
This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard CEI/IEC 60598-2-5:1998. Scope This part of IEC 60598 specifies requirements for floodlights for use with tungsten filament, tubular fluorescent and other discharge lamps on supply voltages not exceeding 1 000 V. It is to be read in conjunction with those sections of IEC 60598-1 to which reference is made. This Standard applies to the safety of such equipment designed to be installed on branch circuits not exceeding 600V nominal or less between conductors in accordance with the rules of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. Note 1A: Manufacturers designing products for use in Canada may find a helpful summary of the equipment-related requirements of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, in CSA Special Publication SPE-2000.
