This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard CEI/IEC 60855: 1985. 1. Scope This standard is applicable to insulating foam-filled tubes and solid rods made of synthetic materials and intended for tools and equipment for live work on systems operating at voltages above 1 kV. Separate special technical standards give details of tests for fittings and attachments to these poles and rods, adaptable tools and complete tools.
