1. Scope 1.1 This Standard addresses the requirements for supplementary cementing materials consisting of natural pozzolans, fly ash, ground granulated slag, and silica fume, added at the mixing plant to supplement the Portland cement in concrete. 1.2 This Standard provides for the acceptance of a supplementary cementing material either on the basis of tests on samples of a single lot or on the basis of test records of the source. 1.3 This Standard also addresses preblending of specific supplementary cementing materials as defined under Clause 3.
