This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to International Standard CEI/IEC 1010-2-051:1995. 1. Scope and object This clause of part 1 is appicable except as follows: 1.1 Scope Replacement: This part 2 is appicable to electrically operated laboratory equipment and its accessoires for mechanical mixing and stirring, where mechanical energy influences the shape or size or homogeneity of materials and their accessories. Such devices may contain heating elements. The requirements for equipment which contain heating devices are given in IEC 1010-2-010.
