1. SCOPE 1.1 This standard states the physical and chemical requirements for a liquid mixture of surface-active agents and suitable solubilizers intended for use in hand dishwashing. 1.2 Material produced in accordance with this standard is designed for hand dishwashing. It is, however, a general-purpose product that should be reasonably satisfactory for a number of other cleaning operations such as washing delicate fabrics, cleaning metal surfaces and walls, and washing vehicles. 1.3 Material produced in accordance with this standard is not suitable for dishwashers. 1.4 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
