1. SCOPe 1.1 This standard specifies requirements for a temporary plastic storage file for the retention of loose documents, and a file-control form, for use when the main file is charged out. 1.2 This storage file is intended to reduce the cost of material and paperwork management by replacing a variety of individual departmental or agency folders performing the same function. It is suggested that instructions regarding this application be issued by departments to meet their own specific requirements. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
