1. Scope 1.1 This specification provides requirements for flat brushes with hog bristles for the application of paint, varnish, enamel and lacquer. It does not apply to special types of brushes such as sash tools (CGSb specification 22.3) and stencilling brushes. 1.2 Brushes made with hog bristles are particularly suitable for use with oil-based paints and varnish. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this specification may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
