Scope 1.1 This standard specifies the performance requirements and test methods for calcium silicate used as thermal insulation on piping, machinery and boilers where the temperature of the hot surface is between 40 and 800°C. 1.2 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
