ropes consisting of braided core and braided cover, for general use.
1.2 Intended Uses

Suggested uses: halyards, mooring lines, slings, block-and-tackle work,
ocean towing and boat rope.
1.2.3 Type 3 - Type 3 is intended to be used where medium strength, low
elongation and nonfloating properties are required.

types of rope are required for the Canadian Forces and other marine
