1. Scope 1.1 This standard applies to extruded sections produced from a rigid compound of poly(vinyl chloride) intended as siding, soffits and fascia for the exterior cladding of buildings. The requirements for fasteners and accessories used in conjunction with PVC exterior claddings are also included in this standard. 1.2 For information on installation procedures, see CAN/CGSB-41.33 and ASTm D 4756. 1.3 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous.
