1. Scope 1.1 This standard applies to three grades of aviation gasoline consisting entirely of hydrocarbons except as otherwise specified herein. 1.2 This standard describes a product intended for use in internal combustion aircraft engines with spark ignition. 1.3 Operators should refer to their aircraft manual for the appropriate grade. 1.4 The testing and evaluation of a product against this standard may require the use of materials and/or equipment that could be hazardous. This document does not purport to address all the safety aspects associated with its use.
