This standard contains requirements for the remanufacturing and reconditioning
of steel drums for use in the transportation of dangerous goods. It provides
non-mandatory guidelines for the sorting of used drums prior to processing and
gives specific requirements for the remanufacturing, reconditioning,
inspection, testing and marking of drums qualifying for reuse.
1.2
This standard does not apply to drums larger than 450 L in capacity.
