1. Scope 1.1 This Standard provides guidelines for the assignment of RDNs, as defined in International Standard ISO/IEC 9594-2 and in accordance with International Standard ISO/IEC 9834-1. 1.2 This Standard addresses registration requirements that apply to that portion of the Directory Information Tree immediately below the vertex assigned to Canada, having the RDN of countryName=CA. It is outside the scope of this Standard to fully specify a naming scheme for the entire Canadian portion of the Directory Information Tree. 1.3 It is outside the scope of this Standard to specify the procedures for the assignment of values for Directory attributes that are not used in the construction of RDNs.
