This National Standard of Canada is based on International Standard ISO
3450:1985.
This International Standard specifies minimum performances and test criteria
for braking systems to enable uniform assessment of the braking capability of
earth-moving machinery which operates on work sites or travels on public roads.
Service, secondary and parking braking systems and retarders are covered by
this International Standard.
