This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to American National Standard ANSI/BHMA A156.10-1985 in total, without any modification. Requirements for this standard apply to power-operated swinging and sliding doors for pedestrian use and some small vehicular traffic. Included are provisions intended to reduce the chance of user injury or entrapment. Power-operated doors primarily for industrial, vehicular or trained traffic are not covered in this standard.
