This National Standard of Canada is equivalent to American National Standard
ANSI/BHMA A156.6-1986.

This Standard contains requirements for door protection plates, door edgings,
push plates, door pulls, push bars and pull bars. Included are strength and
finish tests, and dimensional and material criteria.
1.2
Tests described in this Standard are performed under laboratory conditions. In
actual usage, results may vary because of installation, maintenance and
environmental conditions.
