Textile Test Methods Quantitative Analysis of Fibre Mixtures - Introduction
Laboratory methods for the quantitative analysis of mixtures of textile fibres may be classified broadly as physical or chemical. The most frequently employed physical method is mechanical separation. This method is appli[Ccable only when each component fibre in the fabric is confined to a different yarn. In such cases, the composition can be determined simply by separating the yarns and determining their mass.
