1. Scope 1.1 This Standard covers hexagon and squate galvanized steel tower bolts and nuts, in three grades corresponding to SAE Grade 2, SAE Grade 5, and SAE Grade 5.2 and ranging in size from ½ to 1 inch in diameter inclusive. 1.2 These bolts are intended for use in metal structures for electrical power transmission and substations, metal antenna towers and similar structures. This Standard does not cover interference bolts. 1.3 Where reference is made to other publications, such references shall be considered to refer to the lastest edition and any revisions thereto approved by the organization issuing that publication. 1.4 The appendices contain general explanatory notes as well as a suggested "Grip" Table.
