Scope:

These requirements cover fixed open and automatic water spray nozzles for fire protection service. Requirements for the installation and use of fixed water spray nozzles are included in the Standard for the Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection, NPFA 15.

Project need:

This joint Canada-US standard responds to the request from the Council of Canadian Fire Marshals and Fire Commissioners to address outdated ORDs by adding the Canadian requirements of the ORD into an existing UL standard on the same subject matter.
