This part of ISO 12402 specifies the safety requirements for lifejackets, performance level 150. It applies to lifejackets used by adults or children.
Project need:
UL will create a new Joint Canada-US National standard for performance level 150 lifejackets and the safety requirements. The proposed standard will be applicable to lifejackets used by adults, children and infants, for general, offshore or rough water use, or when the users are fully clothed. The rationale for adopting proposed ANSI/CAN/UL 12402-3 with national deviations is to give both the U.S. Coast Guard and Transport Canada a defined standard for performance level 150 lifejackets.
