1 Scope
1.1 This Standard prescribes inspection and test procedures for the purpose of verifying that the fire
alarm system is installed in conformance with the design and CAN/ULC-S524, Standard for Installation of
Fire Alarm Systems, and performs all of its intended functions as designed.
NOTE 1: This Standard is intended to apply to both required and voluntary fire alarm installations.
NOTE 2: Refer to Annex A (Informative), Informative Materials, A1.1.

This Revision is in accordance with the Revision for CAN/ULC-S536, Standard for Inspection and Testing of Fire Alarm Systems, which addresses items that were deferred from the development of the 6th Edition plus editorial corrections.
