1.1  This fire test method covers fire endurance tests applicable to sprinkler protected window systems and enables an assessment of the fire performance, under controlled fire exposure conditions, of a sprinkler protected window system.

Project Need
The rationale behind this proposal is to update the standard (4.1, 8.2, Figure 7.1) to enhance the experience of public and end-users and to make it simple to read and understand in a unified technical terms. Also, the objective is an attempt to advance the way the standard presents or demonstrates various Technical Illustrations: Drawings, Diagrams, Views, Sections, Elevations, Plans, Annotation, Symbols or Legends etc. It would be helpful to communicate information of technical nature consistent with the contemporary industry standard & drafting techniques, for the sake of ease uniform standardized method or approach. This way the described components are coherent, consistent to clearly explain the subject matter across the board.
