This Standard specifies the requirements for the installation of spray applied low pressure thermal insulating polyurethane foam. The material can be installed as thermal insulation, an air or vapor barrier, or a combination of the three applications.

Project Need
There is no standard now to address this type of product as thermal insulation which can be referenced in future editions of the National Building Code of Canada, Part 9, Housing and Small Buildings and possibly Part 5, Environmental Separation. It is intended that this standard will be used as reference by the Canadian Construction Materials Centre or other listing/certification agencies.
