Scope:

1.1 These requirements apply to single and multiple jacketed lined fire hose of the following nominal inside diameter trade sizes: 38, 45, 50, 65, 77, 89, 100, 125 and 150 mm (1-1/2, 1-3/4, 2, 2-1/2, 3, 3-1/2, 4, 5, and 6 inch).


1.2 These requirements do not cover couplings nor their method of attachment.


1.3 Single jacketed hose, intended for service test pressures of 1035, 1380, or 1725 kPa, is primarily intended for use on fire hydrants, interior standpipes, and similar places. They are not intended for hard usage and are not suitable where the hose will be subjected to chafing on rough or sharp surfaces.
