Scope:

1.1 This Standard applies to woven-jacketed, lined, cotton-synthetic percolating forestry hose which contain non-synthetic fibres of the size commercially known as 38 mm having a minimum service test pressure of 2070 kPa, suitable for use in forest fire supression.

NOTE: All references to values of pressure and vacuum, unless otherwise indicated, shall be considered as “gauge”.


1.2 The hose shall have characteristics of wetting to help protect it from burning.

Project need:

UL Standards & Engagement is seeking only to maintain the currently published requirements in ULC S519 as a National Standard of Canada via reaffirmation. There are no new revisions being proposed at this time.
