HSO's Academic Health Centres and Clinical Research Standard aims to promote standardized and effective governance and leadership of education and research activities in Academic Health Centres. The standard criteria are grouped into two sections based on these functions: 1) Education; 2) Clinical research.

Project Need

The standard is being developed to provide academic health centres with guidance on how to ensure quality and safety within their unique institutional context; policy makers a blueprint for the requirements to designate academic health centres in their jurisdictions; and external assessment bodies with measurable requirements to include in assessment programs.
