Trailer Running Gear
Scope:
1. Scope
1.1 This Standard provides a testing procedure for defining a minimum level of structural adequacy and performance capability for running gear used under trailers, sectional homes, and mobile homes, but excludes trailers equipped with full air b rakes or vehicles not required to be licensed for highway use.
1.2 This Standard covers general requirements and performance tests for axles, suspension systems, tires and wheels, and brakes. Identification and marking of components and the assembly are also covered.
1.3 The values given in SI (metric) units are to be considered the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only
