Test Method for Rating Micro Combined Heat and Power (mCHP) Devices
Scope:
The purpose of this standard is to provide a test method for determining the net electrical generating performance and heat recovery performance of micro combined heat and power (mCHP) devices. In Particular, the standard specifies the equipment and instrumentation required, test methods, and calculation procedures.
This standard applies to:
- stationary packaged systems designed for single family residential applications;
- micro combined heat and power natural gas devices;
- maximum net electrical output is less than 10 kWe; and
- maximum useful thermal output is less than 60 kW.
