Scope

The purpose of this standard is to provide a test method for determining the net electrical generating 
performance and heat recovery performance of micro combined heat and power (mCHP) devices. In 
Particular, the standard specifies the equipment and instrumentation required, test methods, and calculation procedures.

Project need:

Project Need
The objective is to align with the Government of Canada Market Transformation goals. This proposed New Standard is being developed at the request of stakeholders. It will provide the industry with a standard to measure energy efficiency and recommend premium performance requirements for mCHPs.
