Scope

The scope of this standard is to define one medium access control (MAC) and several physical layer (PHY) specifications for wireless connectivity for fixed, portable, and moving stations (STAs) within a local area.

Project need:

Project Need

To align Canadian requirements with those of international standards in the Information Technology (IT) subject area. Additionally, the standards will provide support for existing and evolving technologies in Canada. This proposed New Edition is being adopted at the request of Canadian Stakeholders from P123 Technical Committee on Information Technology (TCIT). It will provide the industry with the latest requirements in the 
field of Information Technology (IT). See the attached list in the Annex for specific information on each standard.
