This standard specifies terminology and technical requirements for control and safety, design, heating, testing, and marking for small solid biomass combustors. It also provides requirements for their construction, installation, operation, and inspection.

Project need:

The purpose of this standard is to support efforts by industry and regulators to address the safety and availability of small solid biomass combustors (SSBC), and to facilitate adoption of uniform requirements by Canadian jurisdictions.
