Scope:

The Standard sets out requirements for the selection, use, and care of respirators and for the administration of an effective respiratory protection program in the workplace.

The Standard is applicable to the selection, use, and care of respirators for non-emergency and emergency situations.

Project need:

A key objective is to ensure that the CSA Z94.4 Standard is updated to reflect the latest developments in respirator performance and harmonization with established standards (e.g., NIOSH, as well as those standards currently under development by the International Organization for Standardization).
