Scope:

The purpose of this Standard is to provide safety requirements for the selection and use of cylinders, spheres, tubes, and other containers for the transportation of dangerous goods, Class 2. This Standard also covers requirements for the handling and filling of cylinders, spheres, tubes, and other containers for the transportation of dangerous goods, Class 2.

Project need:

To develop a new edition of the B340 Selection and use of cylinders, spheres, tubes, and other containers for the transportation of dangerous goods, Class 2 Standard that is updated with current regulations and codes. An updated Standard ensures a higher level of safety by updating the existing requirements and filling in the current gaps.
