Scope of the Project Definition Sheet:

 

The RIDM standard will assist in addressing the following, but not limited to:

a)            NPP safety issues

b)            Engineering decision making, including design modifications

c)            Risk informed decision making to support operability assessments

d)            RIDM support for risk-informed inspection plans

e)            Periodic Safety Review (PSR)

f)             Regulatory issue resolution

g)            Post event (e.g., seismic event) actions by utilities.

 

The standard will draw on existing practices including the CNSC risk-informed decision making (RIDM) process, the COG processes for RIDM and Cost Benefit, the utility practices and protocols, CSA standards for other industries, and best international practices
