Scope

Currently all operating organizations have well established reliability programs in place and are in compliance with regulatory requirements (RD/GD-98). There are few issues related to program guidance and framework to be resolved. In parallel, there is a fair degree of overlap with a number of concepts and principles described in RD/GD-210.

The scope of this standard will be to develop an integrated framework between these two standards and capture current operating organization practices. In addition, this will provide a foundation to develop a common approach around SSCs important to operation and safety that may be required under all operating states including BDBA (DEC) conditions. The document will consider items such as:

a) Risk Informed Maintenance practice requirements.

b) Aging management considerations for reliability and maintainability.

c) Maintainability issues associated with obsolescence SSCs.

d) Capturing the existing classification systems in place at the utilities as it relates to maintenance.
