PVC insulating tape
Scope:
This Standard applies to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulating tape for use at a maximum temperature of 60, 80, 90 or 105°C, for insulating joints and splices in wires and cables having voltage ratings up to 1000 V, in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I. The tape is intended to be applied in layers, each layer being half-lapped, and each joint or splice insulated so as to provide an acceptable level of insulation.
