Protocol for Evaluation of Electrochemical Demineralization Drinking Water Treatment Systems
Scope:
This standard applies to any Point-of-Entry drinking water treatment demineralization system that utilizes electrochemical technology, and meets the minimum requirements for TDS and hardness reduction as prescribed within. All chemical, electrical, mechanical and hydraulic performance claims shall be tested and substantiated according to the procedures in this protocol. This protocol also establishes minimum requirements for material safety, structural integrity and product literature (including instructions and labeling).
