This document is addressed to the manufacturer and/or supplier of water treatment systems and/or devices used for the express purpose of providing water for haemodialysis or related therapies

Project need:

This will meet the strategic needs of the following key interests: a) providing recommendations for the quality of dialysis fluid; b) setting forth quality requirements for the water and concentrates used to prepare dialysis fluid; c) ensuring that dialysis patients have safer water and concentrates used in their treatments; d) protecting healthcare professionals who are responsible for the care of the dialysis patient; e) ensuring that the latest innovative/technology/safety features are available for users, and f) addressing needs of regulators by providing suitable requirements
