Scope:

This standard applies to plugs and connectors intended for use in power over ethernet (PoE)
technology systems rated 15W, 30W, 60W and 100W, maximum 60Vdc, using IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at
and 802.3bt standards. These plugs and connectors are intended to be installed in power sourcing
equipment, power devices and similar PoE equipment.

Project need:

To develop Canadian requirements for PoE plugs and connectors for communication systems.
