(Consists of B45.0, B45.1, B45.2, B45.3, B45.4, B45.5, B45.6, B45.7, B45.8 and B45.9)

Scope

1.1
This Standard applies to the following plumbing fixtures:
(a) bathtubs;
(b) kitchen and bar sinks;
(c) lavatories;
(d) laundry tubs;
(e) shower enclosures and receptors;
(f) drinking fountains and water coolers;
(g) water closets;
(h) bidets;
(i) urinals;
(j) nonrecirculating toilets and waste-holding tanks for use in recreational vehicles; and
(k) self-contained, recirculating, chemically controlled toilets for use in recreational vehicles.

1.2 This Standard does not apply to
(a) appliances such as dishwashers, clothes washers, etc; or
(b) floor drains and trench drains covered by CSA B79.

This Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the appropriate Standard(s) in the B45 Series in order to form a complete Standard.

When components of a fixture are made of different materials, the applicable requirements of the appropriate Standard in the B45 Series are provided for each component, addressing quality, strength, effectiveness, durability, repairability, replaceability, and safety.
