This Standard applies to plugs, receptacles, and connectors for communication systems intended to electrically terminate

(a) communication cords;

(b) communication cord sets; or

(c) equipment that is connected to an exposed communication plant

or connected to a telecommunication network in accordance with the

Canadian Electrical Code, Part I.

The rated voltage—to—ground of plugs, receptacles, and connectors covered in this Standard is 150 V rms maximum.
